Success!
Hey folks!
Sorry for the big gap in blog posts, I know some people were getting worried. Anyways, embolization #3 was another success! They have now sealed off 75-80% of the AVM; we're getting closer and closer to the end of all of this! Embolization #4 is scheduled for Monday, March 6th, and the FINAL SURGERY has been scheduled for Tueday, March 7th (the day after my embolization, bonus! :-P) There is a remote possibility that they will be able to embolize the whole thing hence the surgery wouldn't be needed... that sure would be nice! It just depends on what Dr. Frei and the radiologists can do. Dr. Frei and the Radiologoists... that sounds like a band name. Lol, okay, that was stupid. Anyhow, if there are parts of the AVM that won't be safely accessible in the embolization, then I will be wheeled into the OR the next morning where Dr. Day (the really great neurosurgeon on my case) will open my skull and clip all of the arteries and veins leading into my AVM. Then, I would be in the hospital for about 5 days for recovery (not that much fun, but it could certainly be worse!). So! That's the deal.
The doctors can't tell me exactly when I'll be singing again, but it'll probably be by April. I'm going to have a "victory concert" eventually... perhaps in June? I will definitely let everyone know the details about that as they unfold, however I'm still getting a little ahead of myself. Ahhh, I cannot WAIT to sing!! I'll make it a good concert, I promise. ;-)
Well, that just about does it for now. Thank you all again for your continuous support-- we've sold about 2,000 CDs and I'm always getting wonderful, encouraging e-mails, and I thank you.
Have a beautiful day,
Erienne Romaine

Erienne,
So GOOD to hear this news! I can only imagine how much you want to sing again...at least as much as we want to HEAR you sing!!!!
Actually, I think Dr. Frei & The Radiologists WOULD make a great band name!!!
All the best,
Todd
